Product knowledge answer 

As for the shielding layer, there are two kinds of conditions, the shielding effect of power cable has:

1, because the power cable through the current is relatively large, the current will occur around the magnetic field, in order to not affect the other components, so adding shielding layer can shield the electromagnetic field in the cable.

2, can play a certain ground maintenance effect, if the cable core line attack damage, leaking out of the current to shun such as shielding laminar grounding grid, the safety maintenance effect.

If it is not what control cable, other differences, only in many local, especially computer system control cable shielding layer here is used to shield the outside influence, because of its own current is very weak, very afraid of the impact of external electromagnetic field.
